Thursday. The last day of June

Darling brought home all her work from Nursery today.
While mummy was making lunch, Darling was going through it all, showing them to mummy.
This is a picture of a bird. Aren't the feathers really pretty!
Miss Trisha drew around Bernadette to get this picture. Darling was showing mummy how she did it. It made them both laugh :o)
Darling said she was sad cos her friend had drawn a face onto this picture, even when she knew it wasn't hers.
So that was a shame :o(
Darling said that she didn't put the picture of her into the corner of this glittery picture.
Mummy said she really liked it though. She thought it looked like a dragon.
When Darling brought this one through she was really excited! She shouted, 'Look! Fireworks!!'
This is a flower for Miss Ann. She was not well in Hospital so everyone had drawn a flower for her but Miss Ann wasn't given them.
Darling couldn't remember if this was a leaf or a christmas tree. She said maybe those are decorations.
It is really pretty though, with the green glitter.
This is another leaf.
This is a rainbow cat called Kirsty!
Everyone had to draw their favourite animal from the farm visit on Tuesday.
Mummy thought all the colours were really really brilliant. and the feet too.
Mummy said that Darling was so very very clever and all her drawings were just fantastic.
She would like to have another look at them and then decide where to put some of them up for everyone to see.

The children had lunch then.
Dervish took the last of the milk and was being a wee devil drinking it straight from the bottle. But, actually, he is less likely to spill it than he is a wee cup. Which seem to get spilt constantly!

After lunch Mummy decided that she would take the children to the park.
They forgot to take me though :o(
Trilly got to go though. I think she had a great time.
The children seemed to have had a good time.

Swinging

On the Seesaw
Darling liked it when her skirt got caught by the wind.
Dervish decided he wanted to get off and he was determined he would do it himself.

Then Darling discovered rubbish lying about. She couldn't help herself but to start picking it up. Mummy was torn between letting her because it was a good thing to do or stopping her cos it would be ichy.
Dervish joined in a little, but he only really picked up the one thing before he wanted to swing again.
There was only 2 things left to try out. The children had to go on everything!
Climbing Frame next.
Darling wanted Trilly to climb the frame first so that she could rescue her.
Darling went so high!
Dervish's favourite thing is stil the 'roundabike'. It was the very first thing that he ran for!
Now Darling joined him on it. She used her feet to make it go round.
Then they just relaxed in the lovely sunshine.
Mummy thought the children just looked so lovely she had to take thier pictures!
Darling decided to take a picture of mummy's scribbles.
When they came back to the house Mummy started to make some dinner and some cakes for Darlings Slumber party at Nursery tomorrow.
Dervish has also been invited to a party at Bower (cos he goes to the toddlers) tomorrow morning, so mummy made some cakes for that too.
Dervish just LOVES to stir and mix when mummy makes cakes. He runs for his chair Everytime! :o)
The children were playing upstairs whilst mummy got dinner ready.
They have been behaving very well today cos they came straight down and ate their dinner without any fuss.

After dinner mummy finished icing the cakes.

The children got to watch In The Night Garden before bed.
They like that programme. But the night night song was missing most of its words. It ended after the first verse??
That was odd.

Visiting Granny on Wednesdays

To School
Dervish and I did a little bit of shoping with mummy whilst darling was at Nursery.
We saw the Gala week flags being put up, on the way to school.
Mummy turned the car around and went the other way so that Darling could see them being put up.
By the time Mummy and Dervish got back to the house, the flags were all up!
When we got Darling from school, she had a pretty flower to take home!
Mummy phoned Granny to see if we should go visit.
Granny though that would be a good idea cos they are going away tomorrow to see Uncle Jonathan and Aunty Ashley. They have had a little baby boy!
But we had to nip home first to put Darlings sheets from the washing machine, into the dryer, cos she had an accident again last night :o(
On our way again.
Because Granny and Grandad were going to see the baby, mummy decided that we would make them a card to take with them.
Mummy had seen a trick somewhere for making wee feet.
First you have to paint the heel of your hand.
Then you have to press the hand down.
Then use a wee finger to put in the wee toes.
Here is Darlings pretend foot on the left and Dervish's is on the right.
Then we had to put a message on the front.
Mummy was so clever cos she had remembered to bring the card, the paint and even the letter stamps!
Grandad thought that Darling would need some tweezers to get hem out.
Darling had fun using them!
Once she had figured out how to work them, Mummy told her which letter she needed and Darling would take it out for mummy to stamp on.
When Darling had helped to write congratulations on the front, Dervish helped mummy to write Garbriel George, 7lb9oz(and a quarter)
Grandad managed to take a better picture with Granny's camera.
After the children made the card (mummy forgot to take a picture of the final thing, oops) they played in the garden.
Dervish LOVES swinging on the swing in Granny and Grandads garden. He says 'gwrandad, come with me.' and take his hand to help him on the swing.
Darling took her turns too.
Both of them kept shouting 'Higher! Higher!!'

Then, just as mummy was saying it was time to go. Darling asked if she could have her teepee up. Mummy said there wasn't really time but Grandad put it up anyway.
Mummy said that he was spoiling Darling ;o)
The children even got cups of juice from Grandad! But Grabdad did it it Grandad stylee
Then mummy looked outside and Grandad was IN the teepee with the children!

CHEERS!!

Farm Tuesday

We had a much nicer morning today.
We all woke with plenty time to get to school. Mummy even had time to wash and dry her hair!

Today Darling was going on a trip with school!
Mummy thought she would like to go along with them, but she wasn't sure if they would let her And Dervish.
But they said, seeing as it was the last one, that it would be ok :o)

Mummy and Dervish went to the car, when the children were getting on the bus, but then Darling had to come in our car with us, cos there was no seats left on the bus. She was al ittle bit sad, but the teacher said that she would make sure that Darling got to go on the bus on the way back, so Darling was a bit happier.
Mummy tried to take a picture of the bus going past us, but it didn't really work.
When we got there we got to see lots and lots of animals.
These are not ostriches, the lady said, they are Rias (not sure if that is how it was spelt but it is how it sounds)
The children got to feed them.
The horses were in the same field and the children got to feed them too!
We walked down the lane to see the sheep after that, but Dervish didn't really see them cos he was slower and the cat kept doing bush bush to him.
It really made him giggle.
We walked back to see the ducks and the Geese then.
The children got to throw food for them but they didn't really come too close.
Then we went to see the pigs, Mummy took a picture, the mummy pig was really really big!
We went to see the alpacas after that.
The lady went into the field to feed them, we just got to look at them, but they did look really soft.
Dervish only wanted to hold one hand and that boy didn't want to hold his. Dervish tried having a wee chat with him but I don't think it worked.
The children each got a turn to put some chicken feed into a bucket.
Even Dervish got a shot.
Then they carried them to the really big chicken coop.
Everyone got the chance to feed the chickens!
After we had fed the chickens, we went to the garage and sat on blankets.
I thought we were going to get snack here which I thought was a bit funny cos it was a lovely sunny day outside.
But then the lovely ladies who own the farm had wee baby chickens and ducks and we were allowed to pat them.
Well, I wasn't, cos I am a monkey, but Darling did and so did Dervish, but he was funny cos he just giggled and pulled his hands away. Mummy had to hold them steady so that the poor wee chick wouldn't fall down.
Then we DID have snack, but this time it was on the blankets Outside.
Really nice.

A lovely lovely morning!
